Breathing and Sensory Processing Problems

We combine advanced knowledge of sensory processing and myofunctional therapy to help children and their families get beyond bandaid approaches for sensory processing issues. 

Sensory Problems Related to Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders:

  • Oral habits used to try and meet oral sensory needs (e.g. lovey or finger sucking)

  • Needing to swing or rock all the time

  • Difficulty settling down to sleep

  • Waking up at night

  • Behavior challenges

  • Frequent meltdowns and tantrums

  • Decreased awareness (e.g. doesn’t respond to name)

  • Difficulty with transitions
